There are varieties of blood colour in the different species.

Creatures with backbones or Vertebrates own red-colored blood.

Red blood contains haemoglobin, and heme has Iron in it.

Iron makes the blood look red. It also gets red when the lung intakes oxygen and Iron binds oxygen molecules.

Sea creatures have blue blood in them. It is because of copper in hemocyanin.

Leeches and dismembered body worms have green colour blood in them because of chlorocruorin.

Marine worms have purple blood because the hemerythrin protein and oxygen dissolve in each other and make the colour purple from transparent.

Sea Cucumbers named marine animals have yellow blood. This Holothuroidea species contains hemocyanin in its blood.

Hemocyanin works like haemoglobin, which means the blood contains oxygen in it.
