This week's lake-effect snowfall in the province is predicted to be paralyzing.

Forecasters say the multi-day snowfall will start on Wednesday evening and cover the whole week.

It will finish with snow reckoned in feet around Buffalo and Watertown.

Thursday morning was expected to accumulate 9 inches of snowfall.

Lake-effect snowfall will happen in the east and southeast of the Great Lakes.

Freezing air coming from Canada will hasten the cloud-forming process through Lake Erie and Lake Ontario's warm water.

Warm water will push the air to rise, initiating clouds and later snowfall.

It will affect the region's likely 4 feet of snow accumulation.
